Mr. Nikolaisen was born January 25, 1989 in Jones County, Mississippi to Sharon Yvonne Breaux Smith and the late James Robert “Bobby” Windham.
He worked as a detention officer for the Heard County Sheriff’s Office. During his seven years of service he became dear friends with his coworkers at the jail. He loved his job and strove to do the best he could for those under his supervision.
He was a big fan of science fiction. The Star Wars movies were among his favorites. During his free time, he liked to play games on his computer.

He loved his family, and held a special place in his heart for his daughter, Courtney.
Survivors include: his wife, Victoria Nikolaisen; his daughter, Courtney Nikolaisen; his mother, Sharon Smith; two sisters: Jean McAdams (Brannon) of Carrollton and Cindy Breaux of Norway; two aunts: Karon Pitts (Jimmy) of Mississippi and Priscilla Kay (Timothy) of Louisiana; and a number of other relatives and friends.
