Mrs. Woodard was born July 24, 1944 in Heard County to the late Homer Green Wright and I. D. Hill Wright. She was a member of New Springs Church.
She was retired from Baby Cloze in Franklin, where she worked as a seamstress.
She dearly adored her family, especially her grandchildren. It gave her great joy to have everyone over for a home cooked meal.
She enjoyed many different hobbies and pastimes. She liked to work outside in her garden. She was particularly proud of her flowers. She liked to read and solve puzzles. When she watched TV, game shows were her favorite programs. She also liked to read and listen to gospel and country music.
When she wasn’t at home, she loved to travel and see other places. Trips to the mountains and the beach with friends and family were the most special to her.
Survivors include: her husband, Jerry Woodard of Franklin; daughter and son-in-law, Danica and Michael Red of Franklin; two grandchildren: Makayla Red and Evan Red; three sisters: Mary Nell Hendrix (James) of Franklin, Janice Meacham (J. L.) of Newnan, and Sally Moore of Douglasville; one sister-in-law, Gail Wright of Hiram; one brother, Richard Wright (Sara) of Roopville; and a number of other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, G. T. Davis; two sisters: Norma Simpkins and Sara Pitts; and a brother, James Wright.
