Mrs. Nutt was born January 29, 1943 in Heard County to the late Willard Steve Vines and Elizabeth Belle Davis Vines.
She was a devoted member of Riverside Baptist Church. She spent many hours in the fellowship hall cooking and serving meals for her fellow members. Her contributions were so appreciated that the church honored her by naming the fellowship hall after her.
At home she devoted her life to the care of her family. Each month she prepared a special birthday meal for anyone in the family who had a birthday. She loved to cook for family gatherings, but Christmas was her favorite time. She made Christmas breakfast for everyone each year.
In her free time she enjoyed gardening, yardwork, and crafts. She was also an avid sports fan. Tennis was her favorite sport.
Survivors include: her husband, Jerry Nutt of Franklin; two daughters: Jane Murphy of LaGrange and Janet Hunter (Jeff) of Newnan; three sons: Johnny Nutt (Kim) of Franklin, Jeffrey Nutt of Newnan, and Joe Nutt of Franklin; seven grandchildren: Jordan Nutt (Katie), Kelsey Battles (Zack), Will Murphy (Lauryn), Callie Murphy, Chase Hunter, Collin Nutt, and Conner Nutt; two great-grandchildren: Troy Battles and Marvel Murphy; sister-in-law, Pat Vines; a special cousin, Judy Lavoie; and a number of other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters: Frances Roberts and Willodean Pope; and one brother, Pete Vines.
