Margie Hamby Gore
Mrs. Margie Hamby Gore, age 74, of Franklin passed away November 3, 2018.
Funeral services for Mrs. Gore will be conducted Tuesday November 6, 2018 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Stutts Funeral Home with the Rev. Jim Butler officiating. Interment will follow in Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will accept guests at Stutts Funeral Home Tuesday afternoon from 12:00 – 2:00 PM prior to the service.

Mrs. Gore was born April 24, 1944 in Meriwether County to the late Everett Maynard Hamby and Rebecca Hayes Hamby. She was a Baptist by faith.
She was an independent woman who lived a simple life. She worked in the textile industry for Baby Cloze, and continued her love of sewing into her later life. She also enjoyed gardening and tending her plants. She had several pear trees and liked to prepare pear relish each year.
Survivors include: her son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Janet Gore of LaGrange; four grandchildren: James Gore, Jacob Gore, Denise Hammonds, and Brianna Smith (Alan); one great-granddaughter, Maggie Smith; and a number of other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Ray Gore.
