Mrs. Holland was born November 26, 1960 in Calhoun County, AL to Shirley Louise Fortenberry Adams and the late James Jarvis Howell. She worked as a store manager for Dollar General in the Franklin area.

She also enjoyed riding on dirt roads, drinking Dr. Pepper, and collecting unicorns.
Among those in her family are: her husband, John Holland of Franklin; her mother and step-father, Shirley and Jerry Adams of Franklin; one daughter and son-in-law, Amanda Entrekin (Cory) of Carrollton; grandchildren: John Entrekin, Peyton McKinney, Austin Ingram, and Lane McKinney; two very special nieces: Kimberly McKinney and Kelly Ingram; one sister, Tammy Boatright (Angie) of Newnan; three brothers: David Howell (Sharon) of Dallas, GA, Ricky Howell (his late wife, Liz) of Villa Rica, and Michael Howell (Beverly) of Winston; and a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
