Mr. Rowe was born December 30, 1929 in Meriwether County to the late Leroy Cole Rowe and Mildred Martin Rowe. He served his country in the US Army.
He was a member of Franklin First Baptist Church, and had recently been attending New Hope Baptist Church.
He was an excellent diesel mechanic, and owned his own shop. He had so many years of experience, there were few things he could not figure out, and many customers from the local area sought his service when they had a problem.
In his free time he enjoyed square dancing and going to the bowling alley.
Although he had no children of his own, he had an extended family of relatives who loved and cared for him.
Survivors include: his wife, Jimmie Mae Rowe; adopted grandson, James Martin Clark; two cousins: Robbie Haynes and Rena Haynes; step-daughter, Rhonda Young; step-grandsons: Charlie Studdard and David Studdard; and a number of other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a niece, Nikki Montgomery.
