She was born May 17, 1946 in Laredo, Texas to the late Agatito Flores and Lucinda Ruiz.
She was a devout Catholic, read her Bible each day, and loved God and her church.
After earning a degree in nursing she served her country in the US Air Force. She was sent to Vietnam and stayed there for one and a half years. She enjoyed the military life, but left when she became pregnant with her first child.
Later she went to work for Yamaha where she became the first woman to work as a painter in the recreational vehicle department. She was employed there for 14 years before her retirement.
She held a special place in her heart for her family and friends. A giving woman, she was always willing to help anyone in their time of need.
She had an adventurous side and enjoyed life to the fullest each day the Lord gave to her.
Survivors include her son, Juan Gonzalez, Jr. and a number of other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Juan Gonzalez Chavez and a son, Carl Edward DeLee.
