Miss Coleman was born November 21, 1949 in Heard County to the late Albert Lee Coleman and Ermadell Vaughan Coleman.
Although disabled from birth, Jo never let that keep her from living a full life. She was always the center of attention and had the love of her brothers and sisters. They called her “JoJo”, and saw to her needs after the death of her mother.
She was a Baptist by faith and always enjoyed going to church each week. Among her favorite pastimes were putting puzzles together, going shopping, and sewing.
She had a fascination with animals and enjoyed watching them when she was outside, especially the birds. She also loved her pet dog, “Tiny”.
Survivors include: four sisters: Brenda Hutchins (Richard) of Jefferson, Sherry Parker of LaGrange, Jeannie Wilkes (George) of Jefferson, and Connie Coleman of LaGrange; four brothers: Denaman Coleman (Annette) of Franklin, Ronnie Coleman (Charlene) of Monroe, Timmy Coleman (Vickie) of Kite, and James “Cricket” Coleman (LeAnn) of LaGrange; sister-in-law, Debbie Coleman of Franklin; brother-in-law, Leon Wilson of Pendergrass; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Dale Wilson, and two brothers: Darry Coleman and Danny Coleman.
