Edna Rebecca Brannan Herrington
Mrs. Edna Rebecca Brannan Herrington, age 93, formerly of Tallahassee, FL passed away December 7, 2018.
Funeral services for Mrs. Herrington will be conducted Saturday December 15, 2018 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Stutts Funeral Home. Mrs. Herrington’s grandson, John Pate, will officiate. Interment will follow the service in Prospect Church Cemetery.
The family will accept guests at Stutts Funeral Home Saturday afternoon from 1:00 – 2:00 PM prior to the service.

Mrs. Herrington was born January 26, 1925 in Randolph County, AL to the late William Carey Brannan and Lydia Erin Mickle Brannan.
She was a member of Killearn United Methodist Church in Tallahassee, FL. She attended Sunday School regularly and had a deep love for God and her church.
She earned a Bachelor’s degree from LaGrange College and taught school for a few years. After the birth of her daughter, Carol, she devoted her life to the highest calling of being a wife and mother. She dearly loved her family and saw to their needs each day.
Among her favorite pastimes were playing tennis and getting together with friends for a good game of bridge.
Survivors include: her daughter and son-in-law, Carol H. Pate (David); seven grandchildren: Joshua Pate (Katie), Stephen Pate (Sarah), Rachel Bill (Daniel), John Pate (Abbie), Melissa Ruley (Dwight), Jennifer Pate, and Brian Pate (Christa); seven great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Alfred Harold “Hal” Herrington.
