Kevin Carlton Shelnutt
Mr. Kevin Carlton Shelnutt, age 41, of Franklin passed away November 30, 2019.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday December 3, 2019 at 2:00 PM from Centralhatchee First Baptist Church with the Revs. Damon Smith and Mark Williams officiating. His body will lie in state at the church from 1:00 PM until the funeral hour. Interment will follow the service in the church cemetery.
The family will accept guests at Stutts Funeral Home Monday evening from 5:00 – 7:00 PM.

Mr. Shelnutt was born September 15, 1978 in Carrollton to Elvis Carlton Shelnutt and the late Holly Angelia Shelnutt. He was a member of Centralhatchee First Baptist Church.
He was a graduate of Heard County High School. He worked in automotive repair and maintenance for several years, and had worked in the construction industry.
He loved to work on cars. One of his favorite hobbies was taking things apart and putting them back together again. He was always tinkering and working with his hands.
He also enjoyed working with wood. He refinished furniture and had recently worked on a project to redo someone’s porch.
Among his favorite pastimes were fishing and hunting. He loved to drink Dr. Pepper.
He was a quiet man who had little to say, and loved his family dearly, especially his girls and his grandchildren.
Survivors include: his wife, April Shelnutt of Franklin; his father, Elvis Shelnutt of Franklin; seven daughters: Laura Whitman (Nick) of Bowdon, Caitlin Shelnutt of Tyus, Kaleigh Shelnutt of Leesburg, Jessica McQuain (Charlotte) of Milledgeville, Savannah Pruitt (Luke) of Franklin, Marissa McQuain of Franklin, and Alannah McQuain of Franklin; two grandchildren: Lucas Whitman and Sutton Pruitt; and a number of other relatives and friends.
