Mr. Gore was born October 8, 1928 in Akron, OH to the late Andrew Jackson Gore and Mary Florence Davis Gore. He was a Methodist by faith.
He served his country in the US Army. During his service he was an office assistant at Walter Reed Medical Center.
He was a part owner of Barberton TV and Appliance Company for over 20 years. He met the love of his life, the late Elnore Wyatt, while associated with the company. She was like a second mother to his children, and they had many wonderful years together.
Among his favorite pastimes were gardening and fishing. He and Elnore always had a garden with delicious vegetables. They loved getting together with friends and family for food and fellowship, especially when the food came from their own garden.
Survivors include: one daughter, Deborah Zabitski (John) of Barberton, OH; two sons: Jim Gore (Debbie) of Akron, OH and Joe Gore (Helen) of Barberton, OH; nine grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; one sister, Hazel Vaughan of College Park, GA; one brother, Donald E. Gore (Mary Ann) of Canton, OH; a special caregiver, Priscilla Williams (“Miss P”); and a number of other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Elnore Wyatt Gore; one daughter, Denise Cooper; and one son, Herbert Gore, Jr.
